Allow license to work on any computer

When using a new computer, you need to use a license rather than your own personal account acting as the authenticator. and this is extremely annoying. I already contacted squareline support to let my license be shared with two computers, as i use one for graphic design, and another computer is set up for the programming of our circuit boards.

Now im traveling and bought a new laptop for working on the go. 3rd computer! same circus.
over 700$ for a year while theres free alternatives, LVGL is an open source project, and im here paying Adobe-like pricing for a software that causes inconveniences

Sure, you run the risk of people sharing accounts and losing some profit, but squareline is not a particularly big company, causing annoyance to customers is much more harmful than letting a few poor people bypass your paid system.
Even companies like adobe, let piracy happen on purpose, because its more important to have everyone in the industry accustomed to your software, than letting competition grow.
Consider this, because i am inclined to opt for the free options once my subscription expires.

Paid services should be more convenient than the free alternatives. I pay for peace of mind. Programmers and other computer workers typically have 2 or more computers, this license thing is just pure annoyance.

Thank you

Hi Nick! We would absolutely like to make sure that you are satisfied with your Small Business license! We checked and you have portability mode on, which means that you can use SquareLine on two computers. But! You van opt for the “revoke” option, which allows you to remove your hardware keys and use the editor on a 3rd computer. You can do this this way:Licenses | SquareLine Studio

That’s good, im sure theres some method of doing it such as doing “Revoke”, but i imagine i must do this on the computer before i log off so i must plan ahead.

Why not just tie it to the account? i you’re logged on to Bob’s account, you get to use bob’s paid plan. Would it not be simpler that way?
If several people share bob’s account, then you can investigate.

I used to pay for adobe creative cloud, similar yearly pricing. I’d use it on a bunch of computers. Personal PC, personal laptop, my work laptop, my small business laptop. It was more convenient than downloading cracked versions on a bunch of computers.

Additionally, i just read your link, Revoke is only available 3 times per year?
Im away using a temporary computer and need to perform an emergency update on our software, i cant even add one object because it says ive got a personal license.

It’s really dumb. LVGL itself was meant to be free and open-source. 90% of your potential users are broke students who wont be able to pay your 700$ upfront membership, will opt for competitor products, and the industry will develop around their software instead of yours.

I really think you guys should reconsider your subscription plan, and at least make it more convenient for those who do choose to pay.

Right now, i am unable to work with software i paid for
