Hi, I’ve come upon a bug that caused me deletion of all my files in my Downloads folder, because I accidentally set the Downloads folder as my UI exportion path.
Maybe you could’ve added a warning about all the files in the directory being deleted.
My question is, how do I get my files back…?
Hi, the software clears the export folder contents on every export because when you delete screens, assets, or call functions from your project, those files need to be removed from the export directory as well.
As for getting your files back - first check your Recycle Bin/Trash, the files might still be there! If not, you might want to look into file recovery options or check if you have any backups. For future exports, definitely use a dedicated empty folder to avoid this happening again.
Hi, thank you for your response. The files were not in the trash bin. It’s not big of a deal, as I didn’t have important files there.
I will definitely pay more attention and create a new empty folder when exporting.
