It might be helpful to show the number of times an asset is referenced on the asset removal prompt, or something like ‘it is unused by this project’ if it is not referenced, to guide a designer to the right choice:

If you have a component or certain image state that references an image, but that is not visible directly in squareline, it is easy for a designer to remove an asset, but accidentally break something they could not see.
