It seems that Squareline has charged my account $790 for “auto renewal” fees without asking me. I did not opt in for auto-renewal. Even if I did, with large amounts like this it is really only reasonable to send a reminder. I tried to find a phone number to escalate this but I could not any number listed on your website. Can you please help?
Hello, aside from our Lifetime and Floating Business licenses, all of our licenses are sold as recurring subscriptions. This is described in Section 23 of our EULA, which outlines the renewal terms.
That said, we completely understand that renewals can be missed or forgotten. We have a straightforward policy: any user who requests a refund due to an unexpected renewal receives it.
I can confirm that we have initiated your refund to the original payment method/account. The payment system we use will process the refund, and it should be returned within up to 10 business days.
You’re also absolutely right that a reminder before renewal would help prevent situations like this. We agree, and we’re working on adding pre-renewal notifications soon.
