Is there a trick to copy and paste a widget (or container+widgets) between two different projects (e.g., two SQLS instances on Windows)?

Hi, actually, there is a more efficient way to transfer complex widget hierarchies between projects using Components.

Here is the step-by-step workflow:

  1. Create a Component: In the source project, create a component from the container or widget hierarchy you wish to transfer.
  2. Locate the File: Navigate to your project directory on your computer. You will find a components folder containing the component file you just created.
  3. Copy to Target: Copy this specific file into the components folder of your target project.
  4. Use it: The component will appear in the Widget/Assets panel of the new project.
  5. Detach (Optional): If you do not want to use it as a locked component in the new project, you can click “Detach” in the Inspector panel to revert it to standard editable widgets.
